Values that guide my work
Begin with the end in mind.
The quality of your outcomes is determined by the clarity of your intentions. Take time to develop a clear picture of where you want to go before moving. The question is not "Can this be built?" but "Should this be built?"
Get the words right first.
Clarity always beats clever. It takes more than an idea to change the world—you must also get others to believe it. This is the most attention-poor era of human history, and clarity is more precious than gold.
Iterate, measure, learn.
Stubborn problems require flexible states of mind. When the problem seems unmovable, we are agile and light. When it refuses to change, we experiment and change around it.
Put the mission's success above everything.
To accomplish big things, you have to be solution agnostic and put your ego to the side. Advocate passionately for what you believe is the correct way forward, but have the wisdom to know that the mission's success is more important than your pride.
